Brian W. Gerth

Brian W. Gerth, age 52, of Winona, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Brian was born on June 2, 1972, in Winona, to Robert and Beverly (Henderson) Gerth. He was employed with various companies throughout his career including WinCraft, and Global Home Health Care where he enjoyed taking care of others.

He will be remembered for his love of old country music, dancing, planting flowers, cooking, cleaning, and baking and decorating for the holidays with Christmas being his favorite.

Brian’s biggest joy in life was his family, especially barbecues where he was able to cook a big meal and enjoy many laughs afterwards. He cherished all the time he spent with his nieces, Chelsea and Ashley, nephew, Aaron, and his great-nieces, Maliah, Mariah, and Zayla. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Brian is survived by his brother, Robert Gerth; sister, Shelly (Keri) Gerth; niece, Ashley (Kris) Owen; nephew, Aaron Gerth; niece, Chelsea Gerth; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beverly; grandparents: Oscar and Ethel Gerth, and Lester and Lucille Henderson; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until a short service at noon on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona. Following the burial, a celebration of Brian’s life will be held at his home, 621 E. Belleview St., Winona.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Gerth, Ashley Owen, Chelsea Gerth, Kris Owen, Mikayla Zimmerman, and Aaron Gerth.
