Bradley Michael Suchla, age 33, of Winona relapsed and died of a drug overdose on November 29, 2022.
He was born on October 17, 1989, in Winona. Bradley’s life cannot be only defined as an addict, he was so much more to many people.
Bradley was selfless, humble, compassionate, intelligent, wise beyond his years, he would never gossip and was not ill-willed. He knew his demons and fought hard to overcome them. He would be the first to stand up for anyone that he thought was being wronged. He was an amazing friend, son, and brother. He brought so much joy to the people he loved.
Bradley formed a life-long bond with many people, Shannon Steuve, (the mom of his childhood group) and Jeremy Jacues were among them, NEVER giving up on Bradley and showing support and love and much needed advice through his addiction, but mostly loving Bradley uncordially no matter what. Sarah Davis recently came into Bradley’s life as a very special friend, and for the last 5 months, she brought so much joy to his life. There were lots and lots of laughs and many adventures, for this I am grateful and feel very blessed to be a part of the joy she brought my son. And lastly the bond he had with his sister, Anna, was something very special. He always, always had time for Anna, and they were not only brother and sister, but best friends. He was so very proud of her and made sure to tell her every chance he got. This bond will never be broken, not even in death.
We were truly blessed to have Brad for the last five months of sobriety, there were amazing memories made that will last a lifetime.
Bradley was born on October 17, 1989, in Winona, MN, to Ted Suchla and Michelle Alseth. He is survived by his parents; his brother, Taylor Suchla, Rochester MN; sister, Anna-Lee Landers, of Winona, MN; Gage Suchla, of Coon Valley, WI; grandfather, Mel Alseth; grandmother, Beatrice Suchla; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Sandra (Zenk) Oehlert, and his grandfather, Ernest Suchla.
