Barbara Haefel

Barbara L. Haefel, age 83, of Stockton, MN, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019, in the comfort of her home.

She was born on June 11, 1936, in Bangor, WI, to Vernon and Judith (Danielson) Broberg.  She was united in marriage with Roland C. Haefel, Sr., on March 2, 1957, in Winona, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1999.

Barbara was employed with Fiberite in Winona, prior to her retirement.

She will be remembered for her enjoyment of playing BINGO, and participating in pool and dart leagues.  She also enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and going for rides in the car.

Barbara was an excellent homemaker, and as a jack-of-all trades, she could fix almost anything around the house.  She was dedicated to her family, and cherished the time she spent babysitting her grandchildren.  Her family admired her strong will, especially as she lovingly cared for her husband’s parents.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Barbara is lovingly survived by her children: Rollie Haefel, Pam (Jim) West, and Paula (Steve Flury) Pozanc; grandchildren: Amber, Joshua, Skylar, Wesley, and Brianna; great-grandchildren: Becky, Tucker, Madison, and Piper; siblings: Norma Isakson, Arlan Broberg, Harold Broberg, Carol Christopher, Everett Broberg, and Daryl Broberg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her siblings: Curt, Lee, Vilas, and Harley Broberg; Maggie Affeldt-Bonnette; and Doris Marshall.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the funeral service at 2 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.  Deacon James Welch will officiate.
