Arlene (Baker) Rodriquez

Arlene M. (Baker) Rodriquez, age 65, of Winona, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her home from heart failure.

She was born on December 19, 1952, in Winona, to Arthur and Helen (Nation) Baker, and graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1970.

Soon after high school, Arlene moved to the San Francisco, CA area.  There, she met and eventually married her soul mate, Andrew Rodriquez.  Arlene and Andrew lived in the Bay Area for several years, where she made a career as a server in various restaurants.  They later moved to Reno, NV, where Arlene worked at the Atlantis Resort and Casino.

Arlene never met anyone who did not become her friend.  She was a great joke teller, and her happy-go-lucky attitude made her a favorite among her customers.  Arlene loved life and had many dear friends.  After her husband passed away five years ago, she returned to Winona to help care for her parents.

Arlene is lovingly survived by her mother, Helen Baker, Winona; siblings: Joanne Zielinski, Winona; Randy (Chris) Baker, Winona; Stewart (Kris) Baker, Clintonville, WI; Barbara Barror, New Port Richey, FL; Keith Baker, Winona; and Kevin Baker; Winona; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, and her dear father, Art Baker.

According to her wishes, there will not be any funeral service held, but her family is planning to hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
