AMBAR NICOLE (POOH) GAYTAN
Ambar Nicole (Pooh) Gaytan, age 24, of Byron, MN, and formerly of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Rochester, MN.
Ambar was born on May 10, 1993, in Corpus Christi, TX, to Michael and Kathy (Johnson) Gaytan. When she was six years old, her family moved to Winona, MN. Currently Ambar lived in Byron, MN, with her significant other, Michael Price, and her precious daughter, Alexus Mae (Stink), along with her dog, Gemma and Alexus’ cat, Creamer. She was employed by Comfort Inn and Suites in Rochester. Her smile would naturally light up a room no matter where she was, which was an asset to her front desk position at work.
She had a love for animals (no size too big or small) with a vision of one day going through the rainforest in Brazil and eventually becoming a Vet Tech. Ambar would always give before receive. When a quote or passage caught her attention, she would write it down and post it throughout her home. She enjoyed hiking, softball, volleyball, movies, R&B music, hanging with friends, but most of all spending valuable time with her family.
Ambar struggled with a dependency in her young life, but with the help, support, daily prayer, and love of family and friends, she was living life successfully in serenity.
Ambar is survived by her daughter, Alexus; mother, Kathy “Mama Bear” Gaytan, Winona; father, Michael Gaytan, Houston, TX; brothers, Richard and Jason, Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Myranda, Winona; significant other, Michael Price, Byron, MN; grandmothers, Marilyn Johnson, Stockton, MN, and Juanita Canales, Wichita Falls, TX; eight uncles; five aunts; niece, Layla; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Michelle and grandfather, Eugene Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Michael Price, Robert Boatright, Richard Daniel and Jason Smith.
Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the funeral service at 2 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. Pastor Greggory Olcott will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Stockton, MN.
