Ralph Blum

Ralph W. Blum, age 89, of Bluff Siding, WI, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI, where he had been a resident for the last several years.

Ralph was born on September 2, 1928, in Fountain City, WI, to Walter and Elna (Mueller) Blum, and honorably served his country with the United States Army Airborne Division. He was united in marriage with Rita T. Haefel on June 12, 1954, at St. Casmir’s Catholic Church in Winona.

He was a member of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, and had been employed as a meat cutter all his life.

Ralph is survived  by his wife, Rita, Bluff Siding, WI; children: Ralph “Joe” (Cathy) Blum, Dodgeville, WI; Stephen Blum, Winona; Theresa (Brian) Fedie, Winona; Megan (Bruce) Husser, Buffalo City, WI; and Mary (Larry) Stiehl, Winona; grandchildren: Angela (Carl) Olson, Michael (Katie) Nelton, Ashley Blum, Abby Husser, Alexa Rydman, and Jacob Rydman; great-grandchildren: Tristan and Evan Olson; and Joleighanna Nelton; brother: Robert (Carol) Blum, Winona; sister: Mary Lisowski, Arcadia, WI; brother-in-law: Joe Lisowski, Buffalo City, WI; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark; his parents; sisters: Betty Ann Blum, Fern Kiese, and Darlene Lisowski; brother: Earl Blum; and brothers-in-law: LaVerne Lisowski and Harold Kiese.

According to his wishes, funeral services are being held privately, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.
