Steven J. Kniseley, age 71, of Winona, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his home.
Steve was born on January 1, 1947, in Pepin, WI, to George and Helen Kniseley.
He worked in farming, and was also employed with the Ambrosia Chocolate Factory in Milwaukee, Litcher’s Processing in Rushford, and for ICI-Fiberite in Winona.
Steve was an all-around handy guy who could fix almost anything, and was a gifted woodworker. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his bike, as well as playing the spoons and the harmonica. Steve never missed an opportunity to go to the Habitat Re-Store or to Midtown Foods, or to cheer for the Minnesota Vikings. His great sense of humor and fun will be missed by all those who knew him.
Steve is survived by his children and their families: Mark (Crissy) Kniseley, Lorie Kniseley, Jason Kniseley, and Zach (Megan) Kniseley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with one on the way; his ex-wife and caregiver, Eileen Cada; as well as other family members and relatives.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the funeral service at 2 PM on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home. Deacon Justin Green will officiate. Steve will be laid to rest in the Fountain City Public Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
