Joan M. Strong, age 88, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Lake Winona Manor.
She was born on August 28, 1930, in Winona, to Edward and Emma (Gottschalk) Jasnoch. Joan was united in marriage with Eugene F. Later, they returned to Winona to raise their family and Joan also was employed by Winona Senior High School.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Joan will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker, who took great pride in taking care of her yard and flowers. She enjoyed rides in the truck with Gene whether it was their weekly trip to La Crosse, or an evening ride to get ice-cream. Joan also loved her Minnesota Vikings! Joan’s family was the center of her life, and she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
